05 Cultdreams - Things That Hurt

First album that I'm going to talk about is Cultdreams - Things That Hurt. I got into Cultdreams after seeing them play live in Middlesbrough's Westgarth SC and it was probably one of my favorite gigs of the year. The bands energy anger and honesty really comes out in the music and that's what you get from this album. The album has so much to offer musically with hints of Grunge, Punk Rock, New Wave and Shoegaze. The song Not My Generation being the first song on the album that I had heard.
04 Girli - Odd One Out

I was over the moon when I heard that Girli was releasing her debut album "Odd One Out". The album is so much fun to listen to from start to finish. The upbeat pop sounds of songs like Deal With It, Young and Hot Mess stand out as new and fresh take on Alternative Pop music. My personal favorite has to be Friday Night Big Screen for the movie references and laid back style that Girli adds her own style to in the best kind of way. Girli is a singer with something to say and she does it with an incredibly fun and catchy album.
03 Jodie Nicholson - Golden Hour

The debut album of Darlington Singer/Song Writer Golden Hour is an album that I can't get enough of. Every single song shows genuine emotion and is breath taken from start to finish. The song In Spring being my favorite from the album. This is an album that you need to check out it has everything you could want from a more chilled out pop album.
02 Indoor Pets - Be Content

The long awaited debut album of Indoor Pets finally came out and it did not disappoint in anyway. You get everything that you probably love about this from start to finish. The fast and upbeat alternative sound along with brilliant lyrics. They mix honesty with satire and it mixes very well with the whole sound of the album.
01 Nervus - Tough Crowd

For me this is the perfect album and is one I have listened to many times since first hearing it. The album touches on some serious topics and it does it to some incredibly fun sounding music. It's an album I feel that 2019 needed the world may suck but we will always have music we can dance to. Nervus do that to perfection from start to finish. I think it's an album that anyone can enjoy and get behind.
